My 2 cents to save energy

Here are some:

  • On boiler and heat not adjust the temperature too high, 60C are better than 80C.
  • Use fluorescent light bulbs rather than incandescent (traditional), which guarantee the same luminosit and last very long pi.
  • Turn off unneeded lights, for example moving from an environment to another, so you can reduce up to 30% consumption for lighting.
  • Avoid functions on stand-by electric home.
  • If possible, replace old appliances with models of high-efficiency
  • Get off the stairs on foot instead using the lift.
  • Saving gas in the kitchen putting on the lid during cooking pots, using the most possible pressure cookers.
  • Use rationally dishwasher and washing machine only laden; prefer the microwave oven, which consumes half compared to traditional oven.
  • Prefer a shower bath: fill a bathtub requires three times the energy necessary for a shower for six minutes.
  • Do not lower the temperature of the refrigerator under 3 degrees
  • Avoid opening and closing the refrigerator too often and not ever get hot food.
  • Unplug the charger from the recharged after the mobile.
  • Clean light bulbs, reflectors, broadcasters, because the dust can reduce the yield up to 40%.
  • Paper the walls with light colors, lighting increases the yield from 15% to 50% in pi, compared to a dark wall.
  • Avoid indirect light or too screens. If they are addressed to the ceiling, it absorbs up to 30% of light bulbs requiring more power and thus higher consumption
  • Ask a regular review of the boiler: correct efficiency saves about 5%.
  • Use the car as little as possible and, if necessary, share it with those who make the same journey.
